"We have to stand by our clients, understand their needs and challenges"

This month, IT Channel gives the floor to Jorge Queiroz Machado, CEO of CPCEcho, the company that absorbed SVDI's traditional business areas, namely unified communications, security and networking.

How do you see the current information technology market and how does it differ from the market you knew previously in other projects?

I think that today the digital component is not something accessory to companies; it is a fundamental part of the management strategies of any organisation.

2021 marks the year CPCEcho was born. What are the main business areas in which you operate?

We have five pillars. We have hybrid IT, which is self-explanatory; we have modern workplace; we have digital security; we have Echo Services, from professional services to managed services that then support the whole solution; and, then, we have the enterprise apps part, more from our Partners, but which fits very well with the rest of the solution.

For this, obviously, simple things are needed, such as people no longer having desktops and having notebooks instead, but it is above all the collaboration tools and making them immersive and, I would say, almost part of what the person does on a daily basis.

What do you expect for the rest of 2021 and for next year, 2022?

At CPCEcho level, obviously this year is a year of investment. We have been focused on growing the team, on reviewing methodologies and processes to ensure the company's growth and the quality of what we do. An ambition for this year is to grow the team by 30 to 50%, to have the processes, methodologies and portfolio completely stabilised, along with the certifications, and to double revenue and profitability.
